Gifting in 2020

It's hard to believe Christmas was only 2 weeks ago. It was Evergreen Gift Basket Company's first holiday season and we're so thankful to all who entrusted us with your holiday gifting needs! Now, it might sound crazy to already be thinking about the holidays in January, but based on my experiences in the last month, here's my biggest takeaway for a much smoother, less stressful holiday season this year: START PLANNING NOW.

Christmas falls on the same day every year. Don't let it "catch you by surprise" and leave you scrambling or paying exorbitant shipping fees. If you're like me, you have a lot of the same family, friends and colleagues on your Christmas list each year. Make your list now, set a budget and start saving for it little by little. Christmas is in 352 days. Even setting aside just $1/day can make a huge difference come the holidays, and because it's money you've already set aside, it won't "hurt" as much either. And if you know you'll have a lot going on in December like I will, plan to get your shopping done early or let your local gifting company take care of your list for you. 352 days. Don't say I didn't warn you. 😉

Something else I would consider now is planning your year-round gifting, both personal but especially professional. Whether you own a business or have a job, you need to build good relationships with people to grow. We believe gifting is key in building and strengthening relationships with clients and employees, not for superficial reasons, but because it's a small act of thoughtfulness that could really make a lasting impact. While telling someone they're appreciated is great, it can eventually "fall on deaf ears" after a while, especially if there's a chronic lack of action that shows they are indeed, appreciated. There are so many opportunities to build your relationships year-round through gifting: holidays and special occasions of course, but also employee appreciation, welcome gifts, closing gifts.. the list goes on. If your goal for 2020 is to build your business, retain your staff or something else, contact us to discuss how we can help you reach it:

Wishing you a 2020 filled with an abundance of joy, excellent health and tremendous growth! 💚
